Brauerei Hösl was established by master brewer Michael Hösl, who came
from an old brewing family. He went first to the USA at the turn of the century
and worked in various breweries there. After returning to his homeland, he brought
a wealth of experience to the newly founded brewing establishment. His business
was quickly built up from a small brewing house into what would at the time
have been regarded as a modern brewery. Today it is a medium-sized brewery,
managed by qualified master brewer Michael Hösl. The brewery's aim is to
produce speciality beers to the highest standards, complying with the Bavarian
purity regulations.
